Am i doing it right?
Baby LifeCheck has been developed by the Department of Health as a result of consultations with parents, professionals and experts. Baby LifeCheck is an online health service for parents and carers of babies 5-8 months. The service asks you a number of questions relating to you and your child around topics such as development, feeding and becoming a parent. Once you have completed the questions, you will be taken to further information and useful links.
This service is strictly confidential.

Swine Flu
If you have concerns that you or a family member might have Swine Flu then please go to:- http://www.nhs.uk/AlertsEmergencies/Pages/Pandemicflualert.aspx This site will help identify the symptoms and guide you on the best course of action to take. Some of the systems include:-

Useful recipes for you and your family
This recipe booklet is available for parents, of babies, over the age of 6 months. The booklet is designed to help parents wean there babies onto the same foods as the rest of the family. The recipes in the booklet are suitable for your baby and the whole family. You can obtain a copy of the recipe booklet by contacting your Health Visitor or Nursery Nurse. |
Healthy Happy Helpers
This is a fun and interactive way to inform young children of the importance of good dental care, healthy eating and drinking. It helps encourage children to take part in physical exercise and assist parents/cares to carry on the good practice at home. The aim of this project is to establish healthy lifestyles in the early years. This project will be rolled our over the 17 Children's Centres in the next year. Free Chlamydia tests for under 25's
Chlamydia is the most common bacteria sexually transmitted infection. At least one in ten sexually active people under the age of 25 will have chlamydia - and you may not even know you have it because most people do not have any symptoms.
