Children's Centre services
Sunderland Children’s Centres offer a huge range of activities suitable for all the family, below is a range of leaflets giving more information about the more common services and activities for families. Children's Centre Welcome Form
This form is used in Children's Centres to gain information about you and your family so we can provide you with relevant updated information. Once you have completed this form, please take it to your local Children's Centre.

Learn how to massage your baby on this short course. For babies aged 6 weeks to 6 months
Busy Bodies (pdf download)
Bring your toddler along to enjoy playing games, dancing, singing and movement. For children 2 years+
Dads and
Kids Groups (pdf download)
The chance for dads, granddads, and other male carers to take part in fun activities with their children. For 0 - 8 year olds
Messy Play (pdf download)
Your child can enjoy creative activities such as painting, play dough and sticking in this session. For 0 - 5 year olds.
Soft Play (pdf download)
Bring your child along to climb, balance and crawl in our fabulous soft play facilities. For 0 - 5 year olds (fee payable)
Time for Rhyme (pdf download)
Introduce your child to music and singing and learn new rhymes to use at home. For 0 – 3 year olds.
Toy Libraries (pdf download)
The Toy Library is a scheme
which lends toys, books, games
and equipment to parents, carers,
schools and all children up to the
age of 14 years. It also has a
variety of arts, crafts and
children’s essential products for
sale at affordable prices.
Support for families with young children and parents to be.
Bosom
Buddies
(pdf download)
Bosom Buddies is a support group for breastfeeding mums run by local mothers who have themselves breastfed and completed a course to support new parents.
Family Nurturing (pdf download)
A course for all parents that looks at various topics
including: children’s development
and behaviour, giving praise, time
out, family rules, self-esteem,
personal power, choices and
consequences, feelings,
communicating, nurturing
yourself and problem solving.

that? Family Support Workers
can‘t give you a book of
instructions, but they can offer
help in many other ways: a
sympathetic ear, a guiding hand
