Training and employment - training opportunities
Training Opportunities
There are lots of training courses available through Sunderland Children's Centres. These courses can help you get the skills you need to support your family. You can gain skills to get that new job; improve your reading and maths; or learn simple parenting skills. Our leaflet Pathways to Employment (link to pdf) explains some of the ways in which Children's Centres can help you back into work.
For more information on courses in your area contact your local Children's Centre.
Or do you want a Career in Childcare?
There has never been a better time to work with children. Good quality education and care makes a real difference to children’s lives. If your caring, patient and enthusiastic, have good communications skills, take responsibility seriously and have a good sense of fun, you are already well on your way to starting a career in childcare.
If you would like more information on the training opportunities
available in childcare contact your local Children's Centre and ask to speak to the Community Involvement Worker.
