New work clubs - launching at a Children's Centre near you...

We’re working with Sunderland City Council and the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) to launch new work clubs across the city. If you’re unemployed and want to get back to work, work clubs offer useful advice and guidance in job search techniques, interview skills and personal development opportunities not too far from where you live.

Work clubs are really relaxed and friendly, and you’ll have the chance to meet people in a similar situation, so you can share experiences and offer advice to one another.

The clubs are open to everyone and you don’t have to be there every week. Plus, attending won’t affect your benefits, so come along and see what you think.

Venue Day Time
Austin House Children's Centre, SR5 2JX Mondays 1pm to 3pm
Bunny Hill Children's Centre, SR5 4BW Tuesdays 1pm to 3pm
Houghton Children's Centre, DH5 8AE Wednesdays 1pm to 3pm
Thorney Close Children's Centre Wednesdays 1pm to 3pm
Rainbow Family Centre, NE37 3AE Thursdays 10am to 12noon
Hendon Valley Road Children's Centre, SR2 8PL Fridays 1pm to 3pm

For more information about work clubs visit the DWP website or contact your local Children’s Centre.
